Southern AG Surfactant is a non-ionic wetting agent that helps your spray actually stick and work. 

 

Active Ingredient: 80% Alkyl aryl polyoxyethylene glycol

 

On many plants—especially African violets—spray tends to bead up and roll off the leaf surface. When that happens, your treatment doesn’t spread evenly or reach where pests are hiding.

 

Adding a surfactant fixes that.

 

It breaks surface tension so your solution spreads into a thin, even layer—improving coverage, helping it reach tight areas like the crown, and allowing active ingredients to work more effectively.

How to Use for Best Results

 

Mix:

Miticide / Insecticide (Choose One):
1/4–1/2 teaspoon (1.2–2.4 mL) per 1 gallon of water
• Minx 2 (abamectin) or Conserve SC

 

Surfactant (Add Last):
1–2 teaspoons (5–10 mL) per 1 gallon of water

⚠️ Important: Do not over-agitate after adding surfactant
• Excess shaking can cause foaming and uneven application

 

Mixing Instructions:

• Fill spray tank halfway with water
• Add Minx 2 or Conserve SC and mix thoroughly
• Do not mix both products together
• Top off with remaining water
• Add surfactant last and gently mix
• Use within 12 hours for best effectiveness

 

Application Schedule:

👉 Apply every 5–7 days to break the thrips life cycle and prevent reinfestation

 

Rotation Example:

• Application 1: Minx 2
• Application 2: Conserve SC
• Repeat as needed

• Repeat applications are required for complete control
